The Carey Nieuwhof Leadership Podcast

2024 will be a pivotal year for most church leaders, and it will probably be a pivotal year for your church.

The dust has settled from the Great Resignation (it’s not even a thing anymore). If you made it through the last few years as a church leader, you’re probably in for quite a few more years to come.

So, after years of chaos and heartache for many church leaders, it’s a time to look to the future.

And that's what we'll be doing here on the podcast in January. The following 5 episodes will focus on trends in churchgoer attendance, discipleship, technology, a new kind of megachurch pastor, and more.

Each January, I write a highly anticipated blog post discussing church trends to watch. This year, for the first time ever, we're bringing that blog post to the podcast in a round table discussion with myself, JP Pokluda, and Brie McCullough of Harris Creek Baptist.

We've even made a free team guide that you'll be able to access so you can continue the discussion with your staff and volunteer teams.

The series will also feature conversations from, David Kinnaman, Ryan Burge, Brady Shearer, and John Mark Comer.

Ministry in the Age of AI is a brand new series coming to the Carey Nieuwhof Leadership Podcast.

Did you know that 43% percent of church leaders are uncomfortable with the idea of using AI in their ministry?

If there's one headline for 2023, it's AI. AI isn't just coming—it's already deeply integrated into our daily lives. From the smartphones in our pockets to the recommendation algorithms that dictate our Netflix binge sessions, AI is more a part of us than we might care to admit.

So, where do you land? Maybe you're among the 17% who believe the Church should resist AI, or the additional 7% who say we should condemn it? Or maybe you're part of the 41% of church leaders who believe that the Church should moderately embrace AI, or the 9% who say we should jump in with both feet.

Ethics? Absolutely, we should be concerned. I'm right there with you. The ethical considerations around AI are real and should not be overlooked. But refusing to engage won't make those questions go away. It’s not about IF we'll use AI; it's about HOW we'll use it responsibly.

This is a debate that cuts right through the heart of ministry today, so we're diving headfirst into it.

This four-episode deep dive into AI with leading global experts will discuss all the issues AI raises for ministry leaders and business leaders.

Stay tuned for an eye-opening series where we'll bring in global experts to unpack everything AI: from its transformative potential to its ethical pitfalls.

Whether you're a ministry leader, a business leader, or just someone curious about where the Church is headed in an AI-driven world, you're not going to want to miss any of our upcoming episodes.

We're exploring everything from data-driven evangelism to AI ethics. You've got questions, we've got answers—and trust me, this is just the beginning.
